Why Team First exists
As a travel baseball coach, founder Tony Enos saw how registration, uniforms, equipment, tournaments, and travel expenses can overwhelm families—even families doing everything they can to support their children.
Team First Baseball and Softball Academy was created to step in during those difficult moments. Its mission goes beyond the game: open doors for young athletes who work hard, show respect, make good choices, and demonstrate strong character on and off the field.

Baseball + softball assistance
The active Team First program uses donations to help eligible Austin-area baseball and softball players. Awards depend on the family's need, the player's commitment and character, and the funds available—there is no preset maximum award. Each request is reviewed individually and kept confidential.
Help with approved registration, league, team, and participation fees when cost could keep an athlete off the field.

A clear, respectful process
Assistance is available to baseball and softball players from 6U through high school in Austin and surrounding communities. A parent or guardian may apply for one athlete. An authorized coach, manager, or organizer may apply for an eligible team or travel group, including Cooperstown and other major trips.

Team First considers applications from eligible baseball and softball players from 6U through high school in Austin and surrounding communities. Players do not need to belong to a particular team, school, or organization.
Approved support may help with registration, uniforms, equipment, tournament or travel expenses, and other baseball- or softball-related needs. Families may apply throughout the year, and the Board reviews each request based on financial need, character, commitment to the game, and available funding.
Give where the need is greatest
Because every family's situation is different, donations are combined to create meaningful awards rather than tied to fixed dollar promises. Donors may give once, give monthly, or support an active designated campaign when one is available.
For businesses and community partners
Team First welcomes sporting-goods brands, athletic apparel and nutrition companies, recovery and wellness providers, retailers, and local businesses that believe every child deserves a chance to play.
Partnerships may support registration, uniforms, equipment, tournaments, travel, training, and other approved baseball and softball needs. Sponsorship levels are based on the size of the gift, and custom partnerships are welcome.

Not yet. Team First currently accepts contributions only through its official donation process. A physical equipment-donation program is a future goal.
Team First treats applications as confidential. Access is limited to Tony Enos and designated board reviewers who need the information to evaluate or administer the request. The online form does not accept document uploads; if limited verification is needed, an authorized reviewer will explain the next step.
A parent or guardian must approve any athlete feature. Team First uses first names only—or no name—avoids precise location tags, and does not publish a child's photograph or story without explicit guardian consent.
